The Ecuadorian Chocó has no distinct seasons. The temperature is typically between 65°F and 75°F year-round. Because of its rainforest ecosystem, the area receives rainfall perennially and has a humidity level of around 60%.
Guests are supplied with rubber boots, waterproof ponchos, and basic walking poles. It is recommended that guests bring adventure gear for outdoor exploration, such as sturdy shoes, lightweight activewear, swimwear, sun protection, insect repellent, and binoculars.
Children of all ages are welcome at Mashpi Lodge. Child rates apply to guests age 12 and under sharing a room with two adults. Extra beds are available upon request.
