Santoríni is easy to explore, and the staff at Kapari is on hand to help guests choose excursions around the island and to assist with arranging rental cars, scooters, or ATVs. The lodge offers several guided excursions of its own, which reveal some of the lesser-known aspects of Santorini.
Activity inclusions vary by rate type and package. Please inquire with the lodge when requesting your reservation.
Pay a visit to a traditional farm where much of the lodge restaurant’s produce is grown. Discover how delicious cherry tomatoes, white eggplants, and other endemic vegetables grow without water simply by absorbing humidity during the night. Sample what’s in season, and enjoy a meal at the farm’s small taverna.
Head to a newly opened museum set within a 13th-century Venetian castle and learn about traditional Greek and Cycladic flutes, bagpipes, and other instruments during a presentation and performance.
Hit the trails with the lodge’s affiliated geologist, winding through old farms and landscapes defined by volcanoes and earthquakes. Delve into the island’s natural history, and follow paths to hilltop churches, abandoned villages, and more.
Open all day long, the bar serves up freshly squeezed juices, fine wines, a variety of coffees, and delicious finger food on a terrace overlooking the caldera.
Kapari’s restaurant is one of the best in the area, with stunning presentation and new approaches to traditional Greek cuisine. The hotel has fostered strong relationships with local farmers, vintners, and fishermen, who supply many of its ingredients. Local delicacies are accompanied by excellent wines and served in the intimate restaurant, which has a cozy interior and a beautiful terrace.
