Greece’s northern inland mountains experience a combination Mediterranean and continental climate, with temperatures that fluctuate moderately across four distinct seasons and precipitation patterns characteristic of the coastal regions. Summers are pleasant and dry, with average daytime temperatures reaching the low 70s. The winters bring cold, wet weather, with light to moderate snowfall and daytime temperatures typically hovering around freezing. Fall and spring are mild, but April and May can sometimes see muddy road and trail conditions resulting from melting snow.
Guests who anticipate exploring the mountains, rivers, and gorges of the Pindus should pack activewear and gear for hiking and water sports. Those traveling in the spring, fall, or winter should also bring warm clothing for outdoor activities. Pack a bathing suit for the lodge spa, as well as dressier evening clothes for dinners at Salvia restaurant.
Children of all ages are welcome at Aristi, and any of the rooms can be furnished with extra beds to accommodate families. The lodge’s young guests enjoy many of the offered activities, including hiking, river rafting, and horseback riding.
