Many guests come to Tiamo for its almost unparalleled seclusion. This is the perfect place to dig your toes into a pristine patch of sand and lose track of everything but the sun. But with the world’s third largest coral reef just off shore; an incredible network of aqueous caves lying below the surface; some of the world’s best bonefishing flats; and inland forests harboring brilliant orchids and wild boar, the lodge is so much more than a Caribbean hideaway. Delve into these untouched ecosystems in a variety of ways, from snorkeling and kayaking to naturalist-led walks and boat tours.

Food and Drink

During Tiamo’s annual fall closing, the head chef travels to France, where he trains with the giants of the culinary world. He returns home each November to experiment with new flavors and cutting-edge preparation techniques, revamping the lodge’s ever evolving menu. Tiamo’s Caribbean fusion dishes reflect the chef’s Andros Island roots, combining fresh, organic ingredients from the surrounding environment with an array of international flavors. From your first taste of tiger prawn ceviche to the final bites of sour sop panna cotta, a meal at Tiamo is a foray into haute Bahamian cuisine.
