The private island of Tetiaroa is located in French Polynesia, 30 miles north of Tahiti. Access to The Brando is exclusively by Air Tetiaroa, the resort’s own twin turbo-prop aircraft. Flights leave from Papeete, Tahiti (French Polynesia) and take 20 minutes.
Tetiaroa is a private and secluded island, located 30 miles away from the first population center. The Brando is only 20 minutes away from Papeete (Tahiti) by plane, and in case of emergency, Papeete’s main hospital can be reached in 30 minutes by helicopter.
Most of the lodge’s facilities are equipped for guests with reduced mobility, but by nature, the island is sandy, and getting around may be difficult for some.
French Polynesia has a dry winter from May to October with average temperatures between 68° F and 82° F and a rainy summer from November to April with temperatures between 72° F and 86° F. Tourists come year-round for diving and surfing, but the dry season is the best time for hikers.
