Game Drives

Venture out into the wilderness in a custom-built safari vehicle, specially designed for the lodge’s unique surroundings and for maximum wildlife viewing. On early morning and late afternoon guided game drives, witness a plethora of animals interacting with their environment.

Nighttime Game Drives

After sundown, set out under a starry sky to discover nocturnal animals roaming the floodplains.

Guided Walks

Walk across dry floodplains with an expert guide to learn the complex nature of hydrology in northern Botswana.


Join a bird expert on a walk around the property and try to spot some of the many avian species that flock to the shaded riverine forest.

Lagoon Wildlife Viewing

Glide across the lagoon in the comfort of a fully outfitted pontoon boat, complete with couches and a bar. Watch hippos and elephants wading in the surrounding waters as you sip sundowner cocktails.


Cast a line into the lagoon from the deck of the pontoon boat and try to catch resident tiger fish. Rod-and-reel kits are provided on these guided fishing excursions. (Fishing excursions are not available January-February.)


Cruise the waterways of the Savute Channel in a speedboat. Note that availability of this activity is dependent upon channel water levels.

Outdoor Yoga

Connect with your remote surroundings while practicing yoga on your private veranda. Each tent provides yoga mats and bands for guest use.

Food and Drink

The lodge’s main dining terrace overlooks the sparkling lagoon and is shaded by a flourishing canopy of African ebony trees. Each night, guests gather here to enjoy an intimate candlelit dinner as they share stories from the day’s adventures and take in a brilliant sunset over the water. Gourmet meals can also be served in the privacy of your tent or packed as picnics for game drives and other activities.
