Few safari camps offer a more intimate experience than Zarafa. With just four tents and one private villa, accommodating no more than 12 guests in total, the lodge preserves the sense of stillness that defines one of the world’s last great wildernesses. Luxurious canvas tents are positioned on raised decks along the edge of the floodplain, offering sweeping views over the Zibadianja Lagoon. Netted walls foster a deeper connection with natural surroundings, allowing guests to take in the sights and sounds of wildlife from the comfort of their tents.
Each spacious suite, including the grand Dhow Suite private villa, is flanked by a private veranda with a personal plunge pool and is outfitted with lavish furnishings. State-of-the-art binoculars, photography equipment, and stargazing telescopes are provided in each tent to facilitate your immersion into the Botswana wilderness.
Each of the lodge’s one-bedroom suites (1,000 square feet) offers one king-size or two twin-size beds and an en suite bathroom. Open-layout bathrooms have both indoor and outdoor showers and a claw-foot soaking tub and are stocked with luxury bath amenities and a hairdryer. A spacious lounge features a leather couch and chairs, writing desk, small library, and gas fireplace. Suites are equipped with safes and mosquito netting for beds. Adjacent private verandas have a plunge pool overlooking the lagoon.
