To visit Sayari Camp is to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the natural world, sharing the vast Serengeti with the remarkable creatures who call it home. While enjoying a meal, you may spot a graceful zebra stooping for a sip of water. Venture out into the bush on a game drive to encounter majestic big cats like lions and cheetahs as well as giraffes, rhinoceroses, wildebeests, and hundreds of colorful bird species. Discover unique cultures by interacting with the nearby Kuria people, who have inhabited these lands for centuries. Then rest your head, sheltered by a canvas-walled, tented suite beneath countless Serengeti stars.

Game Drives

Join the camp’s expert field guides for morning and afternoon safaris in an open vehicle and discover a panoply of wildlife up close.

Walking Safaris

Slow down and experience the Serengeti on foot, learning to follow tracks and identify other natural signs. A walking guide will help you understand the bush from the ground up. Walking safaris are included in the cost when you book a Game Package.

Bush breakfasts, picnics, and dinners

Sit down to a beautifully prepared meal in the middle of the bush, where you can continue viewing birds, cheetahs, zebras, and other animals while you dine. For dinner, enjoy your meal lit by lanterns and candles beneath the Serengeti sky.

Cultural Visits

Visit a nearby Meruga village to meet people of the Kuria tribe and learn about their unique culture, history, and way of life.

Food and Drink

The camp is divided into two wings—each a tiny village with just a handful of tented suites. Both wings have their own dining area to maintain a comfortable and intimate experience. Guests can enjoy local ingredients prepared with international flair under the billowing canvas of the dining tents or beneath the stars in the bush. Sayari staff can also pack delicious picnic breakfasts or lunches for you to enjoy on your excursions.
