Bentwood Inn: Plan Your Stay

Located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, United States

How to Get There

By Air

The closest airport to the Bentwood Inn is Jackson Hole Airport (JAC), spectacularly located within Grand Teton National Park. From there, it’s about a 25-minute drive to the lodge by rental car, airport shuttle, or taxi. Several major airlines service the airport seasonally, with flights from fewer connecting cities during the spring and fall.

Once you’ve arrived, there are a number of convenient transportation options available, including the hybrid public START bus that runs regularly between Teton Village and Jackson and passes right by the property. Taxis service the area, and the lodge bicycles can also be used to get around. Numerous rental car companies have offices in Jackson Hole.

By Car

The lodge is six miles from Jackson—about a ten-minute trip by car. From town, drive south on U.S. Route 191 and turn right onto westbound Highway 22. After crossing the Snake River, turn right onto Moose Wilson Road, then left onto Raven Haven Road. Bentwood Inn is on the left. The lodge is one hour’s drive from Yellowstone National Park, five hours from Salt Lake City, and eight hours from Denver. Please note: The road to Yellowstone is generally closed from November until March.

What to Expect

The common rooms of the lodge are wheelchair-accessible, and the Cowboy Room on the first floor is handicapped accessible and in compliance with ADA guidelines.

While the Bentwood Inn does not have a license to sell alcohol, guests are free to bring their own beverages to enjoy at the lodge.

Weather and Seasons

While summer and winter are the most popular times to visit, each season has its charm in Jackson Hole. Spring is a great time for spotting wildlife and taking hikes to see the landscape come back to life. Temperatures range from 30˚ to 60˚ Fahrenheit. Wildflowers burst forth in summer, the ideal season for adventures outdoors. Daytime temperatures can hit 80˚F, and nights can drop down to 40˚. Autumn brings tranquility, changing leaves, and fewer clouds, and cooler temperatures as the season progresses. And winter rarely breaks 30˚F, ensuring that the snow cover lasts all season.

What to Bring

What you pack will depend entirely on what season you visit, but bringing comfortable layers is recommended year-round, as nights can be chilly even at the height of summer.
