Day 1—Arrive Imlil, Morocco

Travel to the village of Imlil. Ride a mule or take a short hike to the hilltop lodge, and get settled in your room. If you’d like, join a guide for a two-hour introductory walk through the nearby villages, meeting local residents and learning about everyday life along the way. Tonight, sit down to a fixed menu of Berber dishes in the cozy Moroccan dining room, filled with carpets, cushioned couches, and Moorish decor.

Day 2—Exploring the Atlas

Soak up mountain views over breakfast on the terrace, then set out on a daylong, guided hike amid the rugged slopes of the High Atlas. Traverse the scenic Tizi n’Tamatert pass and descend into the stunning Imane valley, passing Berber villages, terraced fields, and walnut groves. Trace mountain rivers and stop for a picnic lunch along the way. If you’d rather, opt for a half-day or a mule trek instead.

Day 3—Village Life

This morning, join one of the Kasbah staff members on a walk through the village to their home for a traditional mint tea. Spend the afternoon on your own, relaxing and enjoying the views from the Kasbah. Unwind with a yoga class or steam bath in the traditional hammam, or take a stroll in the village, stopping to chat with the locals.

Day 4—Depart

Enjoy one last breakfast on the terrace, then transfer to the airport or to your next accommodations in Marrakech.
